When “Through the Door” premieres at 8 p.m. (CDT) Oct. 9 on National Religious Broadcasters Network (NRBN) via DirecTV (Channel 378) and local stations, our documentary will be seen by a massive Christian audience.
NRBN programming is delivered to 45 million households!

We will reach more Christians on a single night with good news stories of the transformative power of faith-based initiatives related to those in the prison complex than we could reach with 10,000 local church screenings.

These good news stories will remind viewers that prison ministry was at the top of Jesus’ moral agenda, deepen their understanding of the complexity of incarceration, supply positive engagement models for other believers to emulate.

The documentary will foster much needed collaboration for the common good across theological and political boundaries for the sake of making a measurable difference in a societal institution that is badly broken and breaking state budgets.

EthicsDaily.com readers can be a moral hinge to swinging the door wide open to both a larger audience and making a moral difference.

How?

Here are four simple action suggestions to getting the word out:

First, tell your friends about the broadcast. Post a word about it on your personal Facebook page.

Second, put an announcement in your church newsletter and on your church website. Email your Sunday school class members.

Third, host a viewing party at your home. Gather your students and/or the church missions committee to watch the documentary and discuss it.

Fourth, tweet about the documentary when you view it. Use the hashtags #ThroughTheDoor and #EthicsDailyTV.

Don’t let this opportunity be hidden under a sack of sloth, a pail of passivity.

NRB Network’s vision is “Christian television that significantly impacts the culture.”

Thanks to the platform of NRB Network, our documentary can significantly impact individuals and houses of faith on the prison front.

It can create a new narrative that faith-based initiatives make a real difference in the lives of the incarcerated and returning citizens.

If you don’t have DirecTV or an accessible local affiliate station, know “Through the Door” may be accessed via Roku and on mobile apps. NRB programming can also be viewed via free online streaming here.

If you are on the West Coast, “Through the Door” will air a second time at 10 p.m. (PDT) Oct. 9.
