Statement from the Baptist Center for Ethics board of directors, March 20, 2017:

The Baptist Center for Ethics board of directors is grateful for the 26 years Robert Parham invested in providing positive, proactive and practical ethics resources to local churches in the U.S. and around the world through our organization.

Robert’s life and witness inspired us all to join him in the work of challenging people of faith to advance the common good.

We look forward to strengthening and building upon this legacy through BCE’s various initiatives.

An interim plan is already in effect, moving toward the goal of selecting BCE’s next executive director who will continue to build on the solid foundation and significant strengths of the organization.

We have, as Robert had, complete confidence in our current staff and are working closely with them during this transition.

We are grateful to our readers, writers, viewers, individual donors, churches, parachurch organizations and others for your ongoing support of BCE’s work, and we ask that you keep the organization in your prayers as we plan for the future.

The near future includes story packages on Baptist missions, World Water Day, Genocide Awareness and Prevention Month, and Earth Day. It includes more screenings of our newest documentary, “The Disturbances,” in March, April, May and June, and on into the fall.

Your donations have long made the work of BCE possible. We ask for your continued support as we continue to provide high quality, constructive and centrist moral resources for our next quarter century. We believe our country and world need BCE now more than ever.
