Ticket prices are set to increase on May 31 for the annual ethics luncheon during the General Assembly of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, held this year in Fort Worth, Texas.
Hosted by the Baptist Center for Ethics and the Christian Life Commission of the Baptist General Convention of Texas, the Thursday, June 21, luncheon will feature a 20-minute cut of EthicsDaily.com’s award-winning documentary SacredTexts, SocialDuty, which explores the connection between faith and taxes.

Following the screening will be an opportunity for audience dialogue with Suzii Paynter, CLC’s director, and Robert Parham, BCE’s executive director.

Due to the generous corporate sponsorship of the MinistersandMissionariesBenefitBoard, the current ticket prices are significantly lower than the actual price.

SacredTexts, SocialDuty is a 2011 Bronze Telly Award Winner in the film/video category (non-broadcast) for religion/spirituality.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards honor film and video productions, web commercials and TV programs. Winners have included the History Channel, ESPN, NASA, National Gallery of Art and local TV stations.

The luncheon will be held at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Luncheon doors will open at 11:15 a.m. The event will end by 1:30 p.m.

The CLC will present its Horizon Award to Texas State Sen. Wendy Davis for her leadership in efforts to reform payday lending. Davis’ district includes Fort Worth.

Current ticket prices are $27 for an individual and $270 for a table of 10.
