Nurturing Faith will have an active presence at the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly this week (June 13-15) at the Hyatt Regency Dallas.

Our exhibit will feature sample copies of Nurturing Faith Journal & Bible Studies, and the availability of more than 75 Nurturing Faith books, CBF Resources and more. Stop by to check things out and chat with our staff, directors, authors and other friends.

Discover more about our adventurous Nurturing Faith Experiences and the emerging Jesus Worldview Initiative. Or just hang out for awhile!

Please note these THREE SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:

Thursday, June 14 (4:00-5:30pm) – Join us at the Nurturing Faith exhibit to celebrate the release of a new book, Lessons for Living: From 60 Years of Faithful Bible Teaching, honoring the life and effective lay ministry of Eula Mae Baugh.

The Baugh family, Daniel Vestal (who initiated the publishing of the book and wrote the Foreword) and the book’s editor Bo Prosser will share in the presentation and sign copies of this inspiring volume which was published in collaboration with the Baugh Center for Baptist Leadership at Mercer University.

Author Jim Dant will be at the Nurturing Faith exhibit at various times to sign copies of This I Know: A Simple Biblical Defense for LGBTQ Christians. Free copies to the first 1,200 — thanks to donors in Greenville, S.C.

In a recent review, author Lynelle Mason wrote: “As the mother of a gay son I heartily endorse This I Know as a much-needed resource… When I came to the realization that it was me rather than my son who needed to change a boulder-size burden was lifted, allowing me to unapologetically share my story in Tarnished Haloes, Welcoming Hearts (2012, Nurturing Faith).

This small but impactful book provides a clear, credible biblical case for inclusion. Get additional copies for just $10 per book to share back home.

Bruce Gourley and I welcome you to our workshop on Advancing a Jesus Worldview at 3pm, Friday, June 15, in Pegasus A. The term “worldview” has become a tool for pushing a narrow doctrinal/political agenda absent of Jesus. Share in an emerging initiative to reinstate following Jesus as the highest allegiance for Christians.

Also, join in the many other sessions and related activities of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. This Baptist gathering is not be confused with the larger, male-dominated Southern Baptist Convention meeting at the same time in Dallas where the hot topic has shifted from limited atonement to limited sexism.
