Daphne C. Reiley

Daphne C. Reiley is the author of Love, Then Listen, Sharing My Son’s Journey Toward His True Gender and co-author, with the Rev. Dr. Joseph V. LaGuardia, of A Tapestry of Love, the Spirituality of Caregiving.

Daphne holds the Certificate in Pastoral Ministry from Lexington Theological Seminary (2022). She is a certified spiritual director (2019 Columbia Theological Seminary) and also holds the Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia (2010). Her vocation has always revolved around being a healing and comforting presence for others.

Ms. Reiley now carries her vocation into small churches and isolated families, offering a hopeful word, spiritual listening, and rituals to bring congregations and families God’s grace. Oftentimes, her focus is on prayer as a way of maintaining a healthy relationship with God which furthers spiritual formation and results in learning healthy ways of connection, finding sustenance and personal renewal.

Daphne and her husband have been married for 31 years and have two adult sons.
