Overview

Join astronomer and author Paul Wallace, historian and photographer Bruce Gourley, and co-hosts Missy Randall and Autumn Lockett for a unique, small group experience. Your itinerary includes night-sky stargazing, tropical rainforests, breathtaking coastlines, beautiful waterfalls, local history, volcanic adventures, an ocean excursion, tropical gardens, exotic fruit, fresh fish and much more on Hawaii’s Big Island.

You will fly into and out of Kona International airport for your Hawaii adventure. Lodging will include the famous Parker Ranch and Volcano Village adjacent to Hawaii Volcano National Park, established in 1916 and one of the world’s most unique national parks. With your small group you will explore some of the most exotic attractions on the island.

May 22 – Coastal excursion; Polulu Trail; Lodging at Kamuela Inn
May 23 – Horseback Ride in Waipio Valley; Parker Ranch Tour; Lodging at Kamuela Inn
May 24 – Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden; Akaka Falls; Lodging in Volcano Village
May 25 –Kipuka Puaulu Bird Park; Hawaii Volcanoes National Park; Lodging in Volcano Village
May 26 – Hawaii Volcanoes NP; Beaches, History, Culture; Lodging at King Kamehameha Kona Hotel
May 27 – Beaches, History, Culture; Ocean Dinner Cruise; Lodging at King Kamehameha Hotel
May 28 – Depart from Kona Airport

Pricing + Registration

Total cost: $3,900 for double occupancy (add $800 for single occupancy)

Deposit
: $800 to reserve a spot (the remaining balance is due two months prior to the trip)

The price is all-inclusive (lodging, meals, activities and in-Hawaii transportation). Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their round-trip airfare to and from the Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole on Hawaii’s Big Island.
