A new podcast launched earlier than planned in light of the global pandemic.
Good Faith Weekly (GFW), originally scheduled to begin in June with the launch of Good Faith Media (GFM), has been released early to provide coverage and commentary regarding the global pandemic, as well as other current events.
GFM is a new media organization being formed by EthicsDaily.com (Baptist Center for Ethics) and NurturingFaith.net (Baptists Today).
The new entity will combine and expand the offerings of both organizations, providing news and opinion, videos and podcasts, a journal and Bible study curriculum, book publishing, as well as experiential trips.
Connect with GFM via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo and GoodFaithMedia.org.
As the podcast name suggests, GFW will be a weekly podcast in the future.
Currently, two episodes per week are being produced and published in light of the ever-changing circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 virus.
The podcast is hosted by Mitch Randall, CEO of Good Faith Media, and Autumn Lockett, executive director of marketing and development of GFM.
Each episode will be around 30 minutes in length and will include reflection on current news, a deeper dive into a pressing issue and an interview with a faith leader.
In addition to a test pilot, three episodes have been released to date. Many more episodes are in the works, with the next scheduled for release tomorrow, March 26.
Forthcoming episodes include discussions with local pastors on how to maintain community during a time of physical and social distancing, constructive mental health practices, the importance of laughter and humor during times of crises, and ministry to migrants during the pandemic.
You can listen to the podcast on Whooskaa, iTunes and Spotify.
Suggestions for subjects or interviewees can be sent to Autumn Lockett.
