Lynelle Mason

Lynelle Sweat Mason, who is fast approaching 90, has published seven Nurturing Faith books. Her latest, Climbing Mountains, August 2020, is based on the life of Dr. Phyllis Miller.

Mason is a 1953 graduate of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and has a M.R.E. degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1956).

Along with her late husband, Claude Mason, she has ministered to the people of First Baptist of Rossville, Georgia. Their son, Alan Mason, is an executive with Black Rock Investment firm and is unquestionably her loving sustainer.

As a resident of Ascension Living and a member of First Baptist of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Mason enjoys offering words of encouragement, hugs and laughter with her ever-growing circle of friends. In addition to writing, Mason is a voracious reader, loves gardening, taking nature photographs, sharing face time with Alan, and selling her books, including Climbing Mountains.
