For William G. (Bill) Henderson Jr., prayer is “like breathing in and breathing out” and has become “a natural part of moment-by-moment living” for him.
Recalling his childhood memories of learning to pray from his parents’ example, Henderson describes how prayer became a way to articulate his feelings and codify his commitments to God.
Prayer hasn’t always felt natural or easy – or consistent – but it has still led him to enjoy a deeper, more fulfilling relationship with God.
Because of this, Henderson decided to put down on paper many of the conversations he has had with God, and the result is a daily prayer devotional. The prayers in this collection explore avenues that are frequently on the minds and hearts of all of us.
Henderson is the son of a minister and missionaries and grew up in a home where prayer was modeled daily. He is a product of Furman University, Southeastern Seminary and Southern Seminary, and has given pastoral leadership to churches in Georgia and North Carolina.
