Daphne Reiley is a woman of deep faith, a wife, a mother, a spiritual director, and a servant leader within her home congregation of First Christian Church of Decatur, Georgia (Disciples of Christ). Daphne was led to write Love, Then Listen as she realized so many parents, especially mothers, were struggling with how to faithfully support their child as the child lived into their true gender. Ms. Reiley has long been an ardent supporter of caregivers of all kinds, having previously co-written A Tapestry of Love, the Spirituality of Caregiving with the Rev. Dr. Joseph V. LaGuardia.

Daphne earned the Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2010 and has trained under Columbia Theological Seminary’s Certificate in Spiritual Direction program. She has written and facilitated several workshops dealing with the use of spiritual listening to offer aid and comfort to caregivers. When she isn’t writing, listening, or providing a comforting presence, Daphne enjoys spending time with her family, contra dancing, loving on the trio of family pets, and reading mysteries and historical fiction.

An e-book is available on Amazon (Kindle) and Barnes & Noble (Nook).

Currently enrolled at Lexington Theological Seminary pursuing an Master of Divinity, Reiley is a certified spiritual director (2019 Columbia Theological Seminary) and also holds the Certificate in Spiritual Formation from Columbia (2010). Learn more about Reiley on her author page here.
