In the light of all the beautiful figures of speech that Jesus used, this one seems to follow that course. Taylor completed his undergraduate work at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, after service in both Europe and Japan in World War II. He earned his Bachelor of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, completing them in 1957. He taught for 13 years at his Alma Mater and is a Retired Chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Radford University, Radford, Virginia, where he taught for 28 years. He also served five pastorates in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia, and numerous interim pastorates in several denominations
