Alia Abboud is the director of development and partner relations for the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD).
1. Where did you grow up?
Sierra Leone, West Africa.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
Isaiah 41:13.
I learned that there is no room for observers in life and things can, and do, happen to anyone, so this verse is a promise I hold on to in all circumstances.
3. Who are three people you admire?
Nouhad Abboud (my mother), Nabil Costa (LSESD’s CEO) and Paul and Agnes Sanders (former Arab Baptist Theological Seminary provost and his wife who served in Lebanon for a number of years).
4. What is one fact about yourself you would like to share?
I am very passionate about LSESD and God’s work in our country and region.
