1. Where did you grow up?
North London, United Kingdom.
2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?
Matthew 21:12-17.
Jesus turning over the tables on the temple and kicking out one group of sinners, only to invite another, previously excluded group in, inspires me toward a faith that is inclusive of those who the powers may seek to marginalize.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
Other than “The Shawshank Redemption,” I might say, “The Commitments.”
It has a great soundtrack, great story, and it’s Irish!
4. Who are three of the people you admire?
In addition to my wife and children, Desmond Tutu, Richard Rohr and Pope Francis.
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
I have an unhealthy obsession with old German metal in the form of classic VW camper vans.
