1. Where did you grow up?
Harrisonburg, Virginia, a county seat town in the Shenandoah Valley.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
The verse that probably guides my ministry and priorities more than any other is Matthew 23:23.
I seek to put more weight on the “weightier matters.”
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
The Matrix trilogy.
Besides being captivated by the special effects and the alternate reality dystopia, it’s a philosophically rich treatment of the human condition, free will and has plenty of Christian symbolism.
4. Who are three people you admire?
Malala Yousafzai, William J. Barber II and Dayna Fields (my wife).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
I was once an avid bowler and scored a perfect 300 game when I was 22.
