Jesus’ baptism and God’s claim, “You are my child, the beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”

I often need to return to the truth of my primary identity as a child of God, a God who names and claims me, just as with Jesus, before anything has been accomplished, completed or cared for.

  • What is your favorite movie? Why?

“Best in Show.”

Dogs are the best, and humans are persnickety!

Pam Durso, executive director of Baptist Women in Ministry; Chuck Poole, pastor of Northminster Baptist Church in Jackson, Mississippi; John Kelley, a WWII vet from Gulfport, Mississippi, who cooked breakfast for Hurricane Katrina volunteers every day for more than two years.

  • What is one little-known fact about yourself?

I love kayaking and most anything to do with sunshine and water.
