1. Where did you grow up?
Easton, Connecticut.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
1 Corinthians 13.
The vanity of all things if they are not rooted in and ordered by love, the nature of love and the permanence of love.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“Patton.”
The grand sweep of history covered in the film and the way George C. Scott inhabits the character of one of the United States’ greatest generals; erudite yet plain spoken, even occasionally crude – a man who quoted Caesar’s Commentaries yet could curse like an enlisted man – a brilliant strategist who led from the front.
4. Who are three people you admire?
Dick and Ginny Thornburgh, and Carol Ramsey-Lucas (my wife).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
I was asked to leave a casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for carrying a Bible.
