1. Where did you grow up?
I was born in Purley, South London, moved at age 2 to Bournemouth (a coastal town in southern England) and then to Kingston on Thames at age 14.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible?
Luke and Acts.
Luke’s Gospel has a breadth that anticipates the spread of the gospel to all peoples, and the unfolding Holy Spirit led drama of the Acts of the Apostles reminds me of the inspiring foundations of the early church.
3. What is your favorite movie?
“Inception.”
It is one of the most creative films I have seen, demanding repeat viewings simply to grasp its brain-busting ideas and concepts.
4. Who are three people you admire?
Mary Willis (my maternal grandmother), John Stott (biblical scholar) and Jonathan Sacks (former Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
At the age of 10, I was taking a piano exam and fell off the piano stool. I still passed the exam, but that day my dreams of becoming a jazz pianist died.
