1. Where did you grow up?
I was born in Jackson, Tennessee, and grew up in west Tennessee and northeast Mississippi.
2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?
The resurrection narrative of Jesus in the gospels.
The hope of renewal made evident in the Easter story is still, to me, central in all of life.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“October Sky.”
For the very same reason that I love the Easter story.

Ann Bassett (my wife), Molly Marshall and Aaron Sorkin (screenwriter).
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
My undergraduate degree is in music composition.
