1, Where did you grow up?

Grand Prairie, Texas, a suburb within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?

Right now, it is Psalm 27:13.

It speaks to me in this season of my life.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

“Legally Blonde.”

I like the story of the girl who is underestimated and counted out becoming the hero of her own story and saving the day.

4. Who are three people you admire?

Zelda and Eddie Freeman (my parents), Joseph C. Parker (my pastor) and Ava Duvernay (movie director of “Selma” and the upcoming “A Wrinkle in Time”).

5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?

I hate suspense, which is probably why “Legally Blonde” is one of my favorite movies. After the second plot twist, I am Googling the ending so that I can enjoy the rest of the movie in peace.
