1. Where did you grow up?
Rural Wilson County, Tennessee, near the county seat of Lebanon.
2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?
The Gospel of Luke.
It seems to balance the divinity and humanity of Jesus.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“To Kill a Mockingbird.”
The wonderful story line, the issues that were so prevalent in the world in which I grew up, and the moral steadiness of Atticus Finch.
4. Who are three of the people you admire?
Jimmy Carter, Anthony Campolo and Sandra Day O’Connor.
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
I grew up in a home without running water and plowed the crops with a mule until I was a junior in college.
