1. Where did you grow up?
Mostly in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and in Ottawa, Ontario, but my dad was in the military so we bounced around a bit.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
The story of King David and Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9.
It shows a beautiful picture of the gospel and the invitation God extends to each of us to belong to his family table.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“The Shawshank Redemption.”
It highlights the importance of hope in all of our lives.
4. Who are three people you admire?
Christa Schober (a personal mentor who demonstrates to me what it means to unwaveringly listen to and obey the voice of the Lord), Dawn Dyer (another mentor who always encourages and corrects me) and Jonathan Wilson (a theologian who has informed and transformed my theology).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
I raced track and cross country in high school and university. I still run today for fun, and I always double knot (sometimes triple knot) my shoes!
