1. Where did you grow up?
Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
Luke 10:25-37 – the compassionate Samaritan.
This is the perfect expression for me of who God is, demonstrating the boundaries Jesus crosses because of love, and offering a reminder that knowing the right answers is not the same as living the truth of Jesus.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“To Kill a Mockingbird.”
It’s a work of art with visions of justice, integrity and family at its core.
4. Who are three people you admire?
Walter Brueggemann, Fred Craddock and Suzanne Horton (my mother-in-law).
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
A cultural highlight of years living near New York City was an evening spent sitting and listening literally at the feet of Les Paul and Bucky Pizzarelli.
