1. Where did you grow up?

Southern Illinois.

2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?

Galatians 6:9.

When my energy is depleted and I’m close to surrender, this verse strengthens my resolve to keep doing what God has called me to do.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

“Chariots of Fire.”

I like the film for many reasons, but one of my favorite quotes from the movie is when Eric Liddell says, “I believe God made me for a purpose, but he also made me fast. And when I run, I feel His pleasure.”

4. Who are three people you admire?

Delvin Atchison (Great Commission Team Leader for Texas Baptists), Fannie E.S. Heck (second president of Woman’s Missionary Union) and Becky Arnett (a lifelong missions mentor).

5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?

I am a coal miner’s daughter.
