1. Where did you grow up?

Roanoke, Virginia

2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?

I actually have two: Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Colossians 3:15-17.

Jeremiah because it says that even in difficult times I can still thrive and be fruitful.

Colossians because it instructs me how to live, and as music has been a blessed gift in my life, the verse mentions singing as a bonus.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

“The Sound of Music.”

It was based on a real-life story of standing up to Nazi-ism, plus the music was delightful.

4. Who are three of the people you admire?

Participants in the civil rights movement, women in ministry, and those who take stands (as does Baptist Center for Ethics) on immigration, racism and other issues.

5. What is one little known fact about yourself?

I enjoy working jigsaw puzzles.
