1. Where did you grow up?
In the country, south of Kansas City on the Kansas side.
2. What is your favorite Bible verse, book or story? Why?
The Gospel of Luke.
I cannot imagine Jesus’ teachings and parables without the inclusion of the prodigal son and the good Samaritan.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“Les Miserables.”
I really wasn’t expecting much, but ended up absolutely loving the movie adaptation of Victor Hugo’s brilliant novel.
4. Who are three of the people you admire?
Wendell Berry, Molly Marshall and Thomas Mangelsen (wildlife photographer).
5. What is one little known fact about yourself?
In meeting me, most people think I played football growing up; however, I loved playing soccer and love cheering on my hometown club—Sporting KC.
