1. Where did you grow up?
Austin, Texas.
2. What is your favorite verse, book or story in the Bible? Why?
Many verses inform my justice-centered work and calling, but I’ve always loved 2 Timothy 1:7.
It is a personally encouraging and yet challenging verse. The combination of love and self-discipline is beautiful.
3. What is your favorite movie? Why?
“Bottle Rocket.”
It is Wes Anderson’s first movie so it is quirky, hysterical and based in Texas. I find something new to laugh at every time.
4. Who are three people you admire?
James Dunn, Phil Strickland (former director of the Texas Baptist Christian Life Commission) and Bryan Stevenson (founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative and author of “Just Mercy”).
5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?
I love trivia and watch “Jeopardy” as often as I can.
