In one verse, Paul summarizes the good news for us and its demand upon us.

3. What is your favorite movie? Why?

“The Mission.”

It does justice to the complexities of culture, faith and power in the age of imperialism.

4. Who are three people you admire?

Martin Luther King Jr., Lesslie Newbigin (English missionary to South India and ecumenical leader in the 20th century) and Helen Barrett Montgomery (American Baptist denominational leader, educator, mission promoter and Bible translator).

5. What is one little-known fact about yourself?

One summer during college, I worked as a “fire watch” (outlook) at an explosives plant.
