The vast majority of Americans were concerned about a terrorist attack on U.S. soil, according to a survey conducted prior to today’s apparent terrorist attacks.
“America’s Global Role,” an issue guide published by Public Agenda, offered several statistics related to Americans’ opinions about terrorist activity.
Thirty-seven percent of Americans said they were “very concerned,” 39 percent said they were “somewhat concerned” and 22 percent said they were “not at all concerned” about a terrorist attack inside the United States. Two percent were unsure.
When asked, “Do you think the federal government is doing enough to prevent terrorist activity in the United States?”, 41 percent responded yes, 37 percent responded no and 22 percent were unsure.
