Ali Khan is a gastroenterologist and board member of The Interfaith Center.

There are rare instances when we meet someone for the first time and feel an immediate bond. This was my personal experience with Dr. Ali Khan. As a member of the board for The Interfaith Center in Little Rock, I volunteered to help serve a community meal for a group of Afghan refugee families who had relocated to Arkansas through the efforts of local faith-based organizations. Dr Khan, a prominent gastroenterologist with Baptist Health Medical Center, had graciously offered his services as a translator for these Afghan families. Along the way, he built lasting relationships with these newcomers to America, earning their trust and respect.

Within a matter of months, Ali became a fast friend and a member of The Interfaith Center board, where his contributions to the organization’s mission “to reduce fear and prejudice among the people of the world’s religions” have become invaluable. Ali approaches all people with the same compassion and care as those in his medical practice. Through his thoughtfulness, warmth, generosity, unwavering faith, and humanitarian efforts, Dr. Ali Khan is building a better world for all of us, one person at a time.
Oh, and he can prepare a delicious Pakistani meal that will make your mouth water!
