Justin Jones is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives and studied theology at Vanderbilt Divinity School. As a part of the “Tennessee Three,” he was expelled from the legislature after an act of nonviolent civil disobedience, demanding action on gun reform. He was quickly reappointed to his seat by his local government and won reelection in 2023.

Justin Jones understands his calling to public service as an expression of his calling to ministry. Some ministers do church work, others do the work of the church. Justin serves God by serving the world.

In a deeply partisan time, Justin does not demonize his political opponents. He focuses on how to serve the interests of his constituents and frequently their constituents as well. He understands that good policy must be good for all, not just some.

George Mason is Senior Pastor Emeritus at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, and the founder and president of Faith Commons.
