Good Faith Media (GFM) is excited to announce a new era of Good Faith Bible Studies, featuring a collaborative approach to its Bible study curriculum, a new leaders’ guide, and a revamped Good Faith Bible Studies podcast. The first installment of the Bible studies appears in the January–March issue of Good Faith Magazine, and the podcast’s first episode was released today.
The curriculum includes lessons from pastors and scholars with a wide range of experience translating Christian scripture for lay audiences in ways that inspire and encourage just and inclusive action. Rev. Dr. Jennifer Garcia Bashaw, Rev. Mary Alice Birdwhistell, and Rev. Jason Edwards are among the contributors to the first installment of the studies. The curriculum follows the Revised Common Lectionary during the holy seasons of Lent, Easter, Advent, and Christmas, and weaves in and out of the lectionary during Ordinary Time.
The Good Faith Bible Studies podcast will adopt a conversational tone designed to serve both as a window into the biblical texts and lessons and as an invitation for individuals and small groups to engage the studies together. During the first half of 2026, the podcast will be hosted by GFM Senior Editor Craig Nash and Hayoung Park, a theology and social work student at Baylor University.
The first podcast episode offers an introduction to Good Faith Bible Studies and an opportunity for listeners to learn more about Nash and Park.
Although Good Faith Bible Studies can be used by individuals and a variety of small groups, the curriculum is designed to align with congregational Sunday School classes. Each episode of the Good Faith Bible Studies podcast will be released 10 days before the corresponding Sunday lesson, giving group leaders time to prepare.
In addition, a new leaders’ guide has been created to situate each lesson within the broader curriculum framework and to provide discussion questions as groups explore the biblical text and its themes. The leaders’ guide is available as a single document and will be released to coincide with each quarterly issue of Good Faith Magazine.
“Good Faith Media has become a leader in providing inclusive, justice-centered content such as online news and opinion, podcasts, and documentaries,” said Nash. “But our roots are firmly planted in congregations that seek to practice faithfulness through the ancient practices of worship, bearing witness to God’s activity in their lives, and the study of Scripture. We hope that this new iteration of Good Faith Bible Studies, along with its accompanying resources, becomes a vital tool for Sunday School classes, small groups, and individuals who are curious about the Bible.”
The Good Faith Bible Studies podcast is available for download at goodfaithmedia.org and on major podcast platforms. Good Faith Magazine is a complimentary resource for all Good Faith Advocates, and churches can purchase copies at reduced bulk rates for their members.
