Morning Conversations on the Prophetic Word: Isaiah–Malachi by Jon R. Roebuck is now available from Nurturing Faith Books, Good Faith Media’s publishing imprint.
The fourth of a five-volume collection of devotional thoughts drawn from the pages of the Bible, Roebuck takes readers through all the writings, proclamations and predictions of the Major and Minor Prophets of the Hebrew Bible.
God is revealed to us through the stories in scripture, and then we reflect and offer back the thoughts of our hearts. It is a conversation, a back-and-forth dialogue. Conversations invite us to ponder, reflect, inquire, learn and grow.
These conversations invite readers to ponder, reflect, inquire, learn and grow, discovering more about God’s story and the echoing refrain of God’s desire to know, love and redeem each person.
As in the previous volumes, the author invites readers to join him in a fresh devotional read through the pages of the Bible. The purpose is not to exhaustively interpret, translate or provide full commentary on every chapter, but to help readers engage with the text and perhaps draw some meaningful application for each day.
Roebuck serves as the executive director of the Rev. Charlie Curb Center for Faith Leadership at Belmont University, and as an adjunct professor in the School of Theology and Christian Ministry at Belmont.
