Roderious Phillips has been named associate media producer at Good Faith Media (GFM). He will join the production team as GFM continues to expand its media coverage and paid-production projects.
Phillips, 24 and based out of Macon, Georgia, joins the full-time staff. He will shoot, edit and produce various projects. He brings experience with various cameras and editing software, as well as drone cinematography.
“I’m super excited to join the team as associate media producer,” said Phillips. “I can’t wait to dive into creating some awesome content and connecting with our audience to tell their stories.”
Phillips is a native of Shaw, Mississippi. He attended Mississippi Delta Community College before transferring to Mercer University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism, with a minor in media studies, in 2023.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Roderious,” said Cliff Vaughn, GFM’s media producer. “He combines technical skills with curiosity and kindness, so I can’t wait to see where he turns his camera and what he captures.”
Phillips already has diverse experience in media production. In addition to producing hype and recap videos for Mercer University Athletics, he has done previous photography work for both Passport Camps and Baptist News Global. He has also shot, produced, edited and directed a number of projects on a freelance basis.
Phillips is featured in the new documentary film “Rising Hope,” about Mississippians fighting rural poverty. The film won Best Mississippi Documentary Feature at the Oxford Film Festival in March.
