Starlette Thomas has been named interim managing editor for news and opinion at Good Faith Media. She fills the post held by Zach Dawes, Jr., who left non-profit work for the classroom.

For the past two years, Thomas has served as an associate editor while writing a weekly column at the intersection of race, religion, and politics. She will maintain her role as director of The Raceless Gospel Initiative and host of The Raceless Gospel podcast, now in its fourth season.

Standing in the gap is not new for Thomas. She is a certified interim minister and has served as an interim pastor.

While Good Faith Media searches for a Senior Editor, Thomas will oversee content publication throughout the site while working with columnists, freelance writers, and interns.
