A network of Christian individuals and organizations devoted to addressing critical environmental issues has released a 2026 voter guide focused on the 35 U.S. Senate seats up for election. According to Christians Caring for Creation (C3), these new or returning senators will shape “how our nation cares for the air, water, land, and climate God entrusted to us.”

As a nonprofit organization, C3 notes that the guide is not intended as an endorsement of any candidate. According to C3’s website, their goal “is simply to help you vote with clear information and a prayerful heart.”

Additionally, fully aware of the history of “nonpartisan” voter guides that are really just thinly veiled campaign ads, C3 acknowledges that “bias can creep in from unexpected places: sources, editorial decisions, and personal biases.” They therefore encourage readers to contact the organization if they notice signs of personal bias in the guide.

The “Creation Care Voter Guide” uses a scorecard created by the League of Conservation Voters (LCV) that records how legislators have voted in the past on environmental issues. Its most recent scorecard included votes on clean energy tax credits, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules, clean air, public lands, and confirmation of cabinet officials and judges. Where a candidate has no voting record on these particular areas, C3 encourages voters to visit their campaign website and look for position statements.

The voter guide includes positions from Republican, Democratic, and, when applicable, Independent senatorial candidates.
