MAGA, It’s Time

MAGA, the time to make a decision is now. In the words of holy Scripture, “Whom will you serve” (Joshua 24:15)?

On Easter morning, the President of the United States posted a deeply offensive and bigoted statement on Truth Social. Addressing the Iran War, he wrote, “Tuesday will be Power Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah, President DONALD J. Trump.”

The president’s Easter morning offense was not the only absurdity during Holy Week. On Good Friday, Paula White-Cain, Trump’s longtime spiritual adviser, spoke at an Easter lunch hosted by the White House, comparing Trump’s suffering to that of Jesus Christ. “No one has paid the price like you have paid the price,” she said.

Faith leaders from around the world have denounced both the president’s and White-Cain’s comments.

Interfaith Alliance President and CEO, Rev. Paul Raushenbush, said in a post, “Trump’s profane and violent rant on Christianity’s holiest day while insulting Muslims around the world shows this administration’s utter disdain for religion.”

Good Faith Media contributor, Dr. Ali Kahn, said in a Facebook post:

“Dear Christian siblings,

Please know that we realize Trump does not represent Christianity (any more than Israel represents Judaism). We know the violence in his words is from his dark heart, not the faith of our beloved Isa (Jesus). Don’t apologize for him. None of us judge the faith by the man. Come let’s eat.

Sincerely, Your friendly neighborhood Muslim.”

Diversion is part of the administration’s overall strategy to drown out the noise by creating more noise. From immigration to war, the Trump administration continues to use the strategy of diversion to elicit chaos and outrage. All the while, the wealthy accumulate more capital, the powerful centralize authority, and democracy slips away amid an overwhelmed citizenry.

Because these comments came out during the holiest week of the year for Christians, they have garnered significant attention and reached new lows.

For those claiming to be Christian while supporting Trump, the time has come for you to make a choice. Your loyalty is no longer about your faith but about a desire for power and supremacy. You no longer represent a faith bearing the name of Jesus, but rather a political cult squarely aligned with an irrational and unhinged racist at its head. You can still call yourself MAGA, but you can no longer claim to be a follower of Jesus.

At Good Faith Media, we pride ourselves on standing up, speaking out, and stepping forward for underrepresented communities. We believe every person—regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, or economic status—should be treated with dignity and respect.

We also note the contradiction in that conviction: The only way to champion inclusion is to exclude those who exclude. Therefore, with this admission, we do not retreat from our denunciation of the MAGA cult or our support for underrepresented communities.

We are proud to stand beside our Muslim friends and colleagues. They represent the very best of faith and humanity, demonstrating generosity, kindness and grace.

MAGA, the line is clearly in the sand. How far will you go to follow Trump?

Will you continue down this cultish pathway of delusion and depravity? Or, will you follow the footsteps of Jesus?

His path is one of humility, inclusion, and justice for the least of these. His path leads to equality and love for all.

MAGA, your time is up. The moment to decide is now. Who will you serve?
