A good story contains several components that help readers understand what is happening, why they should care about the characters and how the story will ultimately end.

In The Gospel According to Broadway – one of the two newly released books from Nurturing Faith, Good Faith Media’s publishing imprint – Terrell Carter examines the characters, setting, plot, conflict and resolution in various Broadway plays while interweaving biblical stories and scriptural lessons.

By delving into both scripture and plays, he explores the implications of God’s love for all creation and how God’s unwavering love should impact how we live in relationship with our Creator, each other and all that God has made.

Carter is a pastor, nonprofit leader, professor, visual artist and former police officer for the city of St. Louis, Missouri.

His writings specialize in addressing issues of race and race relations within the church and various communities, police and community relations, organizational leadership and interpersonal communication.

He is the author of multiple books and writes for Word & Way and Good Faith Media.

In Do You Really Know Jesus?, Maralene and Miles Wesner share the fruit of their months-long effort to dig through red-letter editions of the Gospels.

After seeking out every clue and analyzing every incident that gives us information about Jesus as a person, they share their fascinating, eye-opening experience and discoveries.

They content that in order to really know Jesus, we must develop an understanding of his human personality. We must come to know him as a friend as well as a savior.

Finding very little research of this nature available, and very few churches that deal with these issues, the Wesners have made this the theme of their book. In Do You Really Know Jesus? readers will make surprising discoveries and acquire new outlooks.

The Wesners are multi-talented teachers and prolific writers known for their no-nonsense style, clear illustrations and willingness to face controversial issues. They have published two books previously with Nurturing Faith: Life More Abundant and Sermons for Special Days.

The Gospel According to Broadway and Do You Really Know Jesus? are available in paperback at GFM’s bookstore, and both will be available soon as an eBook at Amazon (Kindle) and Barnes and Noble (Nook).
