Aaron Weaver

Dr. Aaron Douglas Weaver is communications director for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in Atlanta, Georgia, where he is the editor of fellowship! magazine and a producer of the CBF Podcast. He also serves as adjunct faculty at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology where he teaches Baptist history and theology. Weaver is a graduate of the University of Georgia (B.A.) and Baylor University (M.A. and Ph.D. in Religion & Politics). He is the author of many popular columns and scholarly works including four books: James M. Dunn and Soul Freedom (2011), CBF at 25: Stories of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (2016), A Baptist Vision of Religious Liberty & Free and Faithful Politics (2018), Different and Distinctive but Nevertheless Baptist: A History of Northminster Baptist Church, 1967-2017 (2018). Weaver and his wife, Alexis, are parents to three young children: James Oliver, Miriam Grace and Hannah Justice.
