“Good Faith After Hours,” a social event planned for June 24 during the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s General Assembly in Atlanta, has been canceled.
Following the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s April 2 announcement that its general assembly would be shifted to a virtual gathering, the staff of Ethics Daily and Nurturing Faith canceled the June 24 event.
Ethics Daily and Nurturing Faith staff will be in touch directly with people who purchased tickets regarding refunds.
Several Baptist organizations have decided to cancel, postpone or shift to virtual approaches their summer gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the Southern Baptist Convention, the Baptist World Alliance and now the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
The after-hours event would have been one of the first in-person gatherings for Good Faith Media (GFM), a new organization that will be officially created when Ethics Daily and Nurturing Faith combine in June 2020 to become GFM.
GoodFaithMedia.org will officially launch in June, providing reflection and resources at the intersection of culture and faith through an inclusive Christian lens.
GFM will combine the resources of Ethics Daily and Nurturing Faith in four primary offerings: news and opinion, videos and podcasts, publishing, and experiential trips.
