The Spiritual Alliance of Communities for Reproductive Dignity (SACReD) has announced the launch of a digital ad campaign that offers an alternative for people of faith disillusioned with White Christian Nationalism. According to Latishia James, SACReD’s Executive Director, the campaign’s goal is to “invite people of faith to reconnect with a different tradition within Christianity—one rooted in liberation, moral agency, and care for our neighbors.”
The ad campaign features social media ads running nationwide, especially targeting areas where the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) shows strong support for Christian Nationalism. The strategy is part of SACReD’s work to educate congregations, build communities, and provide direct service to individuals. Two collaborative ads have already appeared featuring collaborations with social media influencers, such as Rev. Caleb Lines and Malynda Hale.
“Through this campaign, we’re inviting people of faith to reconnect with a different tradition within Christianity, one rooted in liberation, moral agency and care for our neighbors,” James said.
In addition to the ad campaign, SACReD is also working closely with congregations to provide resources that connect core teachings about dignity and moral agency with the work of Reproductive Justice. According to James, over 400 congregations are connected to their work.
“These faith communities are helping people see that supporting bodily autonomy and justice isn’t outside their faith,” James said. “It’s an expression of it.”
