Good Faith Media invites you to join us for a time of finding inspiration and sharing ideas at our Fall 2024 Readers and Writers retreat located at the St. Francis Springs Retreat Center, 477 Grogan Road Stoneville, NC 27048

Set in a quiet, wooded, beautiful and cozy setting with great accommodations and excellent food, the Autumn Readers and Writers Retreat is for anyone who loves to read or write – or both. Our host venue, St. Francis Springs Retreat Center, is within about a 45-minute drive of either Raleigh Durham International Airport or Greensboro’s Piedmont Triad International Airport.

The retreat is open to everyone who loves words: published authors, aspiring authors, book lovers or those seeking to enhance their writing skills.

Featuring Clyde Edgerton – Clyde will lead three sessions, including readings and stories, music,
“the craft of writing,” and a Q and A time. Tony, Cally and Bruce will be session leaders. The
Retreat begins October 9 at 3:00, and concludes October 11 following lunch.

Conference Fees and Lodging

DOUBLE OCCUPANCY – $475 PER PERSON

SINGLE OCCUPANCY – $600

Registration will include both nights lodging and all fees. Transportation must be provided by the participant.

Clyde Edgerton

Clyde Edgerton

Clyde Edgerton is the author of ten novels, a book of advice, a memoir, short stories, and essays. He has been a Guggenheim Fellow and five of his novels have been New York Times Notable Books. He is a member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers and is the Thomas S. Kenan III Distinguished Professor of Creative Writing at UNC Wilmington. Edgerton’s short stories and essays have been published in New York Times Magazine, Best American Short Stories, Southern Review, Oxford American, Garden & Gun and other publications. Edgerton is a musician and has performed with musicians including Jim Watson, Mike Craver, Jack King, and Matt Kendrick. Audio albums and CDs on which he has performed include most recently The Bible Salesman, music and story, with Mike Craver.He lives in Wilmington, NC, with his wife, Kristina, and their children. Tony Cartledge

Tony Cartledge

Tony is contributing editor and weekly curriculum writer for Nurturing Faith Journal and Bible Studies, and as a weekly columnist for GFM. He has taught at Campbell University Divinity School since 2007, authoring both academic and popular articles, along with a dozen books as sole author and three others as co-author. Previously, Tony was Editor/President of the North Carolina Biblical Recorder, and served as pastor of five churches during a 26-year period. He has served actively with the Baptist World Alliance since 2005.

Cally Chisholm

Cally Chisholm

Cally is creative coordinator for publishing and marketing at GFM. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Missouri Southern State University and her Associate of Arts degree from Ozarks Technical Community College in Springfield, Missouri.
