Al Brown grew up in Elberton, GA and moved to St. Simons Island, GA in 1972, the year he and Gayle were married. He played basketball on a scholarship at Gainesville College (Georgia) before transferring to The University of Georgia graduating in 1972 with a BBA degree majoring in Real Estate. With a 52-year career (and counting) in real estate, Al spent 30+ years with Sea Island Company before starting Al Brown Company. One of his many accomplishments in real estate is that he brokered the highest priced residential sale in Georgia’s history ($27,500,000). He is an avid bass fisherman and passionate explorer of the Altamaha River. Al and Gayle have two daughters, Anna and Jordan, and a seven-year-old grandson, Parker.
